The Rest of October

Here's the rest of the highlights from October!  We had little Miss Audrey's first birthday, Halloween at school, Nana and Pop's visit and Halloween at home.  It was a busy month!

Devil's Lake 2013

We took our second annual trip to Devil's Lake this fall to view the leaves.  We went a little early this year, so we weren't there at peak color, but the scenery was still amazing and beautiful!  We had a blast hiking and climbed the huge rock cliff again and then walked through the woods.  We took a wrong turn and ended up walking A LOT further than planned.  We hiked for 3+ hours!!!  The girls were troopers and we all had a lot of fun!

Start of School

September was an important month in the Stampf household!  Braenna started Kindergarten and Mikaiya started second grade!!  Wow, so hard to believe that both of our babies are now in school full time.

Hayward 4th of July



We didn't get up to Hayward for nearly as long as usual this year for the 4th, but we still managed to fit in a quick long weekend.  We had beautiful weather and the kids had a ton of fun (as usual!!).  We did some new things this year.  One of the fun new things was sparklers!  Here are a few pics of the girls playing with them.

We had fun on the 4th celebrating with everyone in their red, white and blue!  I made themed drinks for the kids and fruit kabobs with bananas, strawberries and blueberries.  They got a kick out of it.  We also went to the annual 4th of July party at Nelson Lake Landing which they really enjoyed again!

 Grampa got the girls a water trampoline this year.  It was another big hit!  They loved it, especially Mikaiya who would jump and jump and jump!

As always, thank you to Grammy and Grampa for letting us spend the weekend up there!  We love it!

Texas Friends Reunion





We were fortunate enough this summer to get to have a reunion weekend with some of our old friends from TX!  We all met at Nate and Stacey's lake house in MN.  Dan and Jodi and their kids drove in from TX and we drove in from WI.  It was so great to see everyone and we all had a blast!! The kids got along great...by the end of the long weekend they were acting like siblings again!  The adults all had a so much fun too.  It's a good reminder of how fortunate we are to have made such amazing friends throughout our lives!!  We are so grateful to Nate and Stacey for letting us stay with them and enjoy their beautiful lake house!  Here are some fun pics from the week!

4K Graduation

We also had 4K graduation for Braenna in the first week of June!  She is officially graduated and on her way to Kindergarten now!  It was a very nice ceremony and we were lucky enough to get there early and get front row seats this year!  When Mikaiya graduated we had assigned seats and being "S" we were definitely not near the front!  We were glad to see we got to choose this time around!
